The real question is why do people still use iOS. This thing sucks from all angles.

Did you not just read the note you replied to? This is stupid. It’s old. It’s childish. Shut up.

I did. I agree. iOS is old, childish and stupid ;)

You only hear this kind of silliness from Android diehards. It’s fine, have fun with your phone.

Oh shit… fight! 😃

Lol it’s going to blow his mind when he finds out myself and many others use both and actually like both. 😂

I used to use both as well. Until iOS started to fuck me over, then I moved on from it in a heartbeat and have a beef with the entire proposition of the OS since.

Good for you. Do you want an award for this?

I collect new Android users as awards :)

I never understood why people insist on owning devices not compatible with their way of life. They rather jump through hoops and workaround and accept headaches than just turning their back on the gatekeepers and their shitty hardware.

Make BlackBerry Great Again

5:40AM…. 🍿

To play devil's advocate, there is a security angle to it if you want marginally better, if you're not concerned with loading your phone with functionality.

Somewhat beyond anything I'd personally tolerate, and I'd likely sooner just get a feature phone or use a computer for necessary applications that needed that degree of security, if I couldn't get it from an alternative OS. But I do leave room for it not to always be a 100% stupid idea.

But yes, the vast majority, I have to scratch my head over. I've long characterized Apple devices in the way I first heard from Sean Kennedy, of RantMedia: Fisher-Price computers. Round corners, so you don't gouge out anyone's eyes, and childproofed in just about every way they could think of. Great if that's what you're going for (I'm certainly not letting my 80 year old mom try carrying around an Android device), but utterly intolerable if you're trying to do something Tim Apple didn't intend.

That said, Google blocking Miracast support on the Pixel is definitely them learning a piece of the wrong lesson. PinePhones really would do well to get development going faster.

Because fuck google for me....

Use GrapheneOS then :)

Remember, Google pays Apple 25B dollars to track you on Apple devices via the default search engine deal. You are still sending data to Google when using iOS.

I am replying with it now!! Its a clown car of fucking inadequacy😂

I'm trying man.....

Yep. Now you know the difference between paying (in time and rough UX) for something you truly control and the stuff people give you for free to make you the product.

I respect the stance! But I have no more control of this pixel than the iPhone - they are equally obtuse to my technical competence in this realm.

But at least now you know the difference. It's fine to sell your data for a better product. But it's important to know what you are exactly getting for it.

But if you wanna use grapheneOS you need a google pixel device, so you end up paying them either way 😁

It's a tribal thing. Like Bitcoin.
