Fruit evolved to be eaten in order to spread seeds. Eating them usually does not harm the plant.

Eating vegetables usually kills the plant, so they have an evolutionary incentive to discourage us from eating them (toxins). We have lost the ability to digest cellulose like our primate ancestors could, so we’re able to realize very little nutritional value in most vegetables (and we’re breeding them for looks instead of that nutritional value)

I agree with all that, but fruit 1) is highly modified by human domestication and 2) doesn't necessarily want what's best for the host animal

Eat what ever you like. But do you really need excuse for your preferences? Don’t think so!

So for everyone here in the thread stop talking bullshit, eat what you like and everything is fine. I don’t want to hear cheap excuses why x is better than y. I eat what I like and I know the facts! Eating isn’t an easy topic I know.

Just eating meat is definitely not the answer, because there was never a period in history humans had just meat.

I’m out 🫳🎤

It’s not cheap excuses, it’s scientific studies and evolutionary biology but go off king
