I'm a single-issue type, now.

Shut up and take my vote, sir. And thank you for your service.

"In its judgement, the court accused him of an 'ideology of maximum privacy.'"

The state hates you.

You're not a pirate. Stop self-identifying as a criminal.

"The consequences of this approach"

"Die Konsequenzen dieser Denkweise"

We are talking about a national court that finds itself in the thicket not only of European AML- , KYC- and terrorism-prevention-legislation, but in the swamp of whatever implementation of European standards in national law and, ... gets lost in the madness of standards and then - as Patrick writes in German - falls back or has to fall back on the “way of thinking”, i.e. a gut feeling.

In addition, every judge at such a court is subject to pressure from within the authorities.

Then that's the result.

If the state did not have a monopoly on the use of force, and therefore the corresponding power structures, then I would laugh at this judgment. Smile at it with pity.

That is not legal state law enforcement, that is an enforcement of beliefs.
