How about this as a feature...

When someone clicks to zap me, they can pick between zapping me personally or someone else I've chosen to be zapped? For example, a Nostr relay, client dev or whoever?

Just change your lightning address to the person you want zapped

I thought that, but what if someone owed me a substantial amount of money and accidentally sent it to the dev?

If they owed you money why would they zap you, no reason to make that public

Maybe because it's not something very sensitive? Idk.
