Not technical enough to answer that question but I don’t think so since eCash is inherently different. It’s built on top of Lightning and is a very welcome addition for people who use custodians, now it’s time for some big custodians to step up and implement it.

I do have to ask: couldn't just Lightning do this by default? Why do we need to add layers upon layers?
