i miss that Boomer
he was the only one who understood my essays on engineering subjects
Yes, he had the mix of IQ and specialized knowledge which, having studied only computer science and applied math (no physics or engineering courses), I lack.
I actually kind of hate that there were holes like this in my education because I could have made myself take those courses in school whereas going back to learn them now - or other subjects that might be useful like biology or chemistry - feels burdensome.
Laser focus seems like a good idea when you are young but this ended up causing lopsided knowledge.
And now I would probably be better off just upgrading my coding skills or learning more about investing.
But I also like to expand into new areas. It's a dilemma...
laser focus is good for getting jobs bro
nobody advertises positions for a renaissance man
according to Robert Greene you can't chase two rabbits at the same time but in this case i would advise both upgrading the coding AND learning about investing
everybody needs to understand investing otherwise everything you make will be gone in 10 years to inflation
investment is not about making money - but protecting what you already made
as for not having taken physics don't stress about it - i took coding classes and don't know anything about coding
it's not what classes you take it's where your heart is
