I agree, but our discussion started from another point. The thing is that I don't trust him, he is inquisitive only when it serves him. And if he is a Russian puppet, he'll be a puppet for Iran too. For example, he's asking about Israel spying on the US, but doesn't ask about Iran or Russia spying on the US. See the difference?
I am a strong believer that journalists should have moral integrity. Instead of accusing Israel of where it fucks up, we end up looking like idiots without credibility.
Ok but Russia and Iran are the bugaboos of Western propaganda, making it very hard to discern what is actually Russian spying versus media-promoted Trump Derangement Syndrome bullshit. There is no shortage of Russia and Iran-bashing in the mainstream, meanwhile to say anything bad about Israel is virtually a crime in the USA. It can get you deported if you're not a citizen, schools can lose their funding, researchers and politicians blacklisted and careers ruined for criticizing Israel.
Look at both parties. For example, I'm having a lot of "fun" on the Russian Telegram. But usually it's as simple as:
If I were to pay Tucker to serve Russian/Iranian interests, what would I do differently?
PS: Regarding free speech, now you have Nostr to say whatever you want. Personally, I care more about free debate in a group of people with diverse backgrounds.
