Building alternative systems until something sticks is an approach I will always support. Voting, however... I don't begrudge people for doing it, I just don't believe it really solves anything in a system that is setup a certain way. Especially when that system is heavily skewed towards those who run it and make all of the decisions, when they are so obviously self-serving and working for the interests of their donors, rather than their constituents.

It's a similar theme in Europe. Most people vote against something, and the politicians do it anyway.
