This "news" has been popping up over and over every stage the past few cycles. Is this guy actually seriously still trying or just doing it for clout at this point?
I mean technically I could sue the US government saying part of the silk road stash are my coins that they stole from me, but we'd have about the same probability of success.
Actually to your point, I bet if this dude just bought new bitcoin when he first started chasing this hard drive, he'd be retired by now...
I think he sold some of his claim to a third party to raise capital for the legal battle, so he can't turn back now, he has to exhaust every option
In all honesty, if that happened to us we'd probably do the same thing.
