What I have heard is that viewed sololy from a state of the art technical perspective, zcash have some innovative privacy features.
- I have been long enough in the IT space to know that, it is sometimes better run with the tested and proven tech and not the latest release.
- The people and money behind, the "community" if you could even talk of such (it seems very closed). Kind of turns me off, the pump and dumps of a few people and their involvement with organisations I deem problematic.
- The real adoption as p2p payment use is not really there. Instead focus have been turned on the acceptance on the CEX as an investment object instead of a medium of exchange.
- The optional privacy feature seems to only account for a small fraction of the transactions. Which is kind of worrying, for the future as a privacy coin if this feature is hardly used, it is also easy to remove.
