The weirdest flight take off I've had was out of Lukla in Nepal off the side of a mountain at 9,000 ft. The runway is short and downhill and as you lift you drop off the end into the valley then rise. The landing there was mad too

Innit the most dangerous airstrip in the world? I think I've seen videos.
Yep. Was mad
Agreed! It was a surreal experience. More fall-off than takeoff.
I saw a bush that was down runway whilst watching other planes take off., they all had wheels up at that bush. When we took off, we raced past that bush still bouncing down the runway. I thought oh shit 😂
😂 I don't think I could apply such close scrutiny, just adopted a la-la-la it'll be fine approach! That said I do recall an unusually tall air hostess who had to crane her neck to fit in the cabin!
Cusco was a beating of a landing. Horseshoe approach, cross winds, and a slam down to prevent flying into the mountain.

Not done that. Looks fun
It was harrowing. Then I spent the next few days up in the mountains watching the planes come in. The left turn was nuts.
