Thoughts on mobile wallets..

Try them out!

Try all the #bitcoin only ones!

#Lightning and #bitcoin on-chain ones

Play with them, get to know them, learn their trade-offs..

Pros and cons to all!

I find it most helpful to have a few, each loaded with a few sats so if one doesn’t work, I can just use another..

Let the devs know if you come up against issues..

We are still early, we are all Satoshi 🧡

Just remember Wallet of Satoshi is fully custodial!

You are much better off using one of the other apps you have instead of feeding the custodial beast

WoS and Alby are both custodial. And both have their place at times I have found. Usually more reliable than the others, so when Phoenix, Blixt etc not working for me I will use them, ofc never leaving much on them 👍

Also, when onboarding new folks and only have a couple minutes (for eg an Uber driver who’s in a hurry), WoS is great, along with a warning about it being non-custodial and coupled with having them scan the QR for my book, so they can learn more!

If you have more time, then Phoenix is awesome!

I personally prefer to recommend Muun in those situations.

It's just as easy to download and receive as WoS but starts people with self-custody!

I hear that,

Only thing with Muun is it doesn’t work with LNURLs yet, so is limited at times.

Maybe have them download both, and explain the diff as quick and clear as possible! 😂

Fair enough! Most of the time when I send someone their first sats, they just hold them for a long time.

The need for something like LNURL comes waaaaay later.

But regardless I'm glad we are both onboarding people in the way we think is best 🫡
