When it feels like working, it’s fast as fuck. And then there are unexplained outages like this. I’ve never actually seen it down for this much time. It crashed during yesterday’s #zapathon and I don’t know if it ever recovered. I just keep it around as a backup but with very little in it. The rest of my Lightning sats are on this bad boy.

It's great for new bitcoin users. It's great for demonstrating how easy & quick bitcoin can be. It's great as a failover for payments (it just works).

I agree that we shouldn't become too reliant on it.

I've been playing with Phoenix wallet recently. It has a few tradeoffs but less than WoS. It works in a high fee environment better than Muun (assuming you've established a channel or 2 already).

With lightning, receiving is the less private element. It can expose the UTxOs used to open your channels. I'm still working through how best to get around this.
