Relay Based Open Communication + P2P Communications... both making progress

I'm super curious on how both can be used at the same time.. there are things where you don't need relays to participate and you can simply let pure p2p to happen .. for instance.. file transfer.. or p2p video.... so maybe Nostr helps connecting all of it.. and enabling pure p2p on certain things and relay based interaction for other things
