📈 The numbers are in: #Bitcoin mining in Texas continues to thrive with a staggering 31.21% increase in total energy usage for August 2024 compared to last year. Despite the surge in demand, electricity prices have taken a dramatic plunge, dropping by an incredible 79.52% YoY.

This unexpected twist leaves anti-Bitcoin critics in disbelief as the narrative shifts. While the energy usage for Bitcoin mining climbs, the cost per megawatt-hour is significantly cheaper, showcasing the evolving efficiency and potential sustainability of Bitcoin mining operations.

Is this the new face of Bitcoin mining? It sure looks like it. 🟢🔋 #Bitcoin #Mining #BitcoinMining #EnergyEfficiency

woops wrong move, shouldn'a listened to klaus

It uses a lot of energy, they said.

It's going to consume all the energy on the World, they said.

mining wouldn’t bother me so much if they would stop for a second and think about secondary uses for all of that energy you’re using.

as it stands, it’s just wasteful and I’m a bit ashamed to say I had a part in that.

There is much to say about mining. Research the subject if I may, it's quite fascinating. It uses stranded energy better than any other use case and often helps create electricity production plants where they would't have existed before especially "green" ones like the volcano facilities in El Salvador.

my research was being part of a project starting a mining farm, lol, and the amount of power that we would need, is absolutely crazy.

let’s put it this way, the electric company would have to come out and build a small sub station to power them.

That’s really great news! :) Thanks.
