Challenge : define the term "freedom tech"

When Richard Stallman started and named the Free Software movement, he rigorously defined exactly what Free Software was (and what wasn't).

I've seen nothing like this from people throwing around the 'freedom tech' term, including from ppl like Alex nostr:npub1trr5r2nrpsk6xkjk5a7p6pfcryyt6yzsflwjmz6r7uj7lfkjxxtq78hdpu, who is a total fraud. And this is what happens when you utilise such a vague (and I would say vapid) term as 'freedom tech' - that it's open to exploitation by frauds.

(To clarify and to be very clear, I'm not putting you personally in the Alex Gladstein category.)

Great question, thank you.

FWIW Alex is absolutely not a fraud.

Cheers. And as a user of the term, are you going to have a go at defining it ? Perhaps on a live show ? I'll be interested to hear it and subject it to scrutiny (along with the rest of the audience; I'm no-one special).

(And yes, it's technically true that Alex nostr:npub1trr5r2nrpsk6xkjk5a7p6pfcryyt6yzsflwjmz6r7uj7lfkjxxtq78hdpu is not a total fraud; he's probably 80% fraud and 20% fool, or some similarly high fraud/fool mix.)

Of course. I've added it to our list of Qs. Might not be the first show, but we'll get to it.
