Do you know any of those?

I’ve never played any of them. Only heard of Katan previously. I’m far from a board game connoisseur.

I will tell you about them.

Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux was translated to Werewolves of Miller's Hollow for English-speaking audience.

The mechanics is each player receives a random card identifying him or her with a character from a village. Some of those players are leaders or personalities with special powers. Others are werewolves. During the turn cycles we play out as days and nights in-game. The werewolves choose a player to die in the nighttime and the others must find out and vote for killing a suspect in day time.

If the werewolves survive, they win.

For resistance the mechanics are similar. You must find out who is the person sabotaging the resistances plans in a dystopian society. Who is the traitor?

Sounds interesting. How long does it normally take to play the game? What’s the ideal number of players?

Average 30 minutes and 8 to 18 players. I would say the werewolves game is suited for any party you attend and a certain group of people feel like being distracted for a short time. So, 12 people would seem like a good number. The minimum and maximum numbers are good.

For the resistance game, I would say it might be fun at parties, but probably in a simplified version, rather than the by the book.

Thanks for the info on the games. 💜

There are online versions of some nice games.

Scrabble, draw and guess type of games as well, or others that we might try out here.
