Big fan of Saylor generally, but I thought his speech at Madeira was flat and a little off-putting. He was acting like we’re all on the same team as the banks, united in bitcoin. Just weird and not at all like his usual first-principles case-making.

But not gonna offer a hot take on the DID thing until I understand it better.

I’m just here for the decentralized, uncensorable money and speech.

I thought he was talking about times way into the bitcoin future..post 2100s. Then I can see what he means. He never said it's going to be simple and non violent road.

Sounded a bit kumbaya for my tastes. Maybe that’s what he meant, but he made virtually no mention of the incumbents’ incentive and the lengths to which they would go to hang onto the status quo.

Totally. Saylor is beyond measured in his rhetoric on the existing framework, as you’d expect any CEO of a listed company to be.

That's way I can't see myself competent to criticize him. It's a different level and he can't just go all out on Fiat and banks and the whole system. I believe the work he put into bitcoin says a lot for itself.
