Treated my mom to a laptop today - she wants to complete her masters degree in theology and be more comfortable in all her video calls. She was using my dad's old laptop which gave way after some time. After my dad died, my mom got rather active in NGOs helping single moms, poorer communities, widows group and has a very pretty active lifestyle compared to us . She has won so many awards year after year from municipal and state level on the help she contributes, yet she doesn't brag about it anywhere except to send pics to the family chat group. I see people do way lesser and brag way too much on social media. I don't know how she handles her very active day to day tbh but she is happy. Feels real good being able to do something nice for the parents especially as they get older. Sometimes, it feels like the chance is getting slimmer and time is running out.

I have 2 guy friends who have a Master’s in Theology. From an Ivy League, same one that Musician Maggie Rogers graduated from.
Actually know several more people who studied theology.
That’s great that your mom is helping at NGOs!
