Yea it had its moments where you could tell, but really impressive overall.

As for the topic, it was interesting the timing when I wrote it. I had been thinking about it for a week or two and then wrote that post like a day before Damus implemented the Onlyzaps feature. I decided to try the setting in combination with focusing on the “quality over quantity” approach with zaps, and committed to doing it for at least a month. I’ve come to really enjoy the experience I’m having with it and plan to continue it. It feels good zapping someone a few hundred or even a few thousand sats for great content/engagement. I do throw in some smaller zaps here and there for the fun of it, and zapathon is still full blast 😂 The one-tap zaps have added a new dynamic though, and I’m not sure how it will affect my habits yet. It encourages frequent zapping, which is a little contrary to this idea of quality over quantity. So I guess we’ll see with time on that.

It's been an interesting experience indeed. I like the place the piece comes from. I feel you are just a touching on the surface of what a zap can be. It's ability and usage will grow, I feel very few hours have been used to think of it creatively. I watched the APIs of the socmedia move behind paywalls. This place too will change and we are building it, my friend. I appreciate everything you do for this and my community.

Thanks! 🙏 The concept of value for value as a model for content sharing/monetization is very interesting to me. And the ease with which sats can be sent to anyone anywhere, and how zaps are being integrated in more/new ways, I think it makes sense that habits will evolve over time as each of finds what works and what doesn’t.
