Our goal with account creation on Ditto is that you don't need to understand what is happening with keys to join! The goal is just to get them signed up. Once they are here, they can learn about their keys.

Rather than telling them upfront they need to learn something new in order to join (a barrier), my theory is it's better to be welcoming new accounts and helping them get familiar with these concepts after they are already here. And I think best way for new users to discover the power of their keys is by logging into a different Nostr app. That's why we made a point to highlight the variety of other apps first.

I definitely agree we need to do a better job explaining this to a user once they are here! Maybe we can put a dismissable widget in the sidebar (or someplace with good visibility on mobile) with Nostr 101 resources. 👀
