This is a tough one. Philosophically I agree, but realistically it destabilizes society. We could dramatically reduce protections though. Copyright lasts too long; patents frequently protect abstract ideas. Money has pushed the referees into the game

I have accepted that people will immediately copy anything i do. My response is keeping building shit so crazy it becomes too hard to replicate at scale

If it’s too easy to copy then one shouldn’t complain. Build actually valuable products that are difficult to copy because of the value they provide.

Right? Especially going in to an AI future. It works in some domains but not others. What's the point of making something better if the spoils go to someone else? But our current term length is ridiculous. Anything you say today is protected far beyond your own life
