Consider setting up your #VPN connection in a different country than your physical location. This may help protect your privacy and anonymity by making it more difficult for websites and attackers to know where you live.

I live in France, I use #VPN server in Germany, but only browse French language sites and buy from French online shops. It is possible to find out where I live, especially as it is possible to tell from my IP address that I am using a VPN.

Is it good to change the location on VPN itself often?

Depends. For example, you could pretend you live in the USA by always choosing the USA location on your #VPN. This way, you trick threat actors into thinking you're based there.

Or, you could mix things up by randomly switching to different locations every time you connect to your VPN, Proton lets you do that.
