Everyone who “gets #Bitcoin” walks a similar path:

It’s a scam

Why isn’t the bubble bursting?

Maybe I should learn more

A small buy won’t hurt

I can’t stop thinking about it

If I eat less, I can stack more

You’re not going crazy, you’re becoming sane in an insane world

I feel like, if you dont initially think it's a scam, the timeline is worse, because you're clearly naive and will inevitably find yourself drowning in shitcoina at some point.

We all go through the same gauntlet. This is what the pre-coiners and no-coiners won’t accept. We all started where they were.

2013: saw an early BTC ATM. Thought, "Play money."

2014: Thought, "Wow, it IS play money!" Bought a dress & other useless stuff with BTC.

2017:Thought, "Bitcoin might succeed. Maybe I should buy more."

2019:Thought, "Maybe bitcoin will help me retire."

2025: Thought, "I can't believe all the 'network effects'(Trace Mayer) that keep happening!"

Never thought there was a bubble

So true.

And then at one point every Bitcoiner meets the inevitable privacy question that gets answered by Monero.
