the term is completely tainted, but web3 is something that should be naturally agreed upon once the web goes through a clear paradigm shift like we saw from 1 to 2, not claimed in advanced with nothing to show for it.
if anything it feels like nostr, bitcoin, DIDs, and AI are ushering in the next era of the web.
i just don’t see a world where billions of people are flipping tokens and actively dodging scams and attacks as part of their daily web usage.
normies aren’t that sophisticated — they just want to socialize and get likes, generate fun pictures, be spied on less, and maybe get a few zaps here and there. 🤷🏻♂️
