the term is completely tainted, but web3 is something that should be naturally agreed upon once the web goes through a clear paradigm shift like we saw from 1 to 2, not claimed in advanced with nothing to show for it.

if anything it feels like nostr, bitcoin, DIDs, and AI are ushering in the next era of the web.

i just don’t see a world where billions of people are flipping tokens and actively dodging scams and attacks as part of their daily web usage.

normies aren’t that sophisticated — they just want to socialize and get likes, generate fun pictures, be spied on less, and maybe get a few zaps here and there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree with your thoughts.

Some of us are more curious, adventurous or reckless then others.

The common trait that all humans have is that we want to be acknowledged.

The addition of Zaps into social is an amplifier of acknowledgment. It hopefully prompts creativity & individuality for the better, rather then reinforcing ill will.

At this moment, we share more common threads than not. Presumably our passion for tech, monetary policy & Bitcoin is what initially brought us here.

Noster is a most interesting experiment. One I feel proud to have become a part of and one that I hope the somehow help further spread into new communities.

it all just has to be simplified. no point in keeping things overly complex and inaccessible
