One of my many responsibilities at my job is to train new drivers to get their Commercial Driver's License. I've been doing this very successfully for 18 years. There is a shit ton involved, especially the last few years. I decided it was time for a small (and I do mean small) raise so I went and asked and I was told point blank no so I gave them a very generous 1 year notice for that responsibility. That was over 6 months ago. They finally got back to me and let me know that they were going to go with a person at my company that is a pompous prick that literally nobody likes to become the new trainer. So now I have to spend a month training this guy. It just goes to show you that your company doesn't give a fuck about you. If you died, they'd be looking for a replacement before your body was cold. Moral of the story? Don't give your life to your job. Buy and hodl more Bitcoin so one day you won't have to deal with this shit.
