Making soap today. Got my molds ready, all my ingredients set out, and now I'm just waiting for the lye solution to come to temperature. I ran out of my homemade bars, so been using store bought. But I dont like it near as much as my own bars. #grownostr #MakeYourOwn #homemadesoap

Do it! I make soap bars, confrey salve for skin, and sometimes deodorant. Much better than store bought, plus I sell these products in our bnb.

If you search for "soap calculator" you will find many sites that will tell you the measurements of your ingtedients. It all depends on your specific ingredients that you want to use. When i was first learning, i found Becky's Homestead youtube channel very helpful. Then you branch out to using whatever ingtedients you like. Mine is pretty basic, mainly goats milk, coconut oil, olive oil. But the possibilities are endless.
