it's now sounding like it may not have been lnd'd fault and may have been a pwned server instead.
To be honest that sounds more reasonable. We like to joke about LND being buggy, we’ve had nodes unable to boot up, and all that. But a draining channels bug is catastrophic and unprecedented as far as I remember.
