I wish Japan had organic food. It’s impossible to find organic produce around here. Have to grow it myself…

And no one seems to care. I don’t know why …

Kinda surprised. I always imagine Japanese to have better things in most departments.

Nah it’s mostly an illusion.

theres a lot of different Japans

You guys do know where I'm getting that impression though, it seems. Kinda disappointed to learn I've been mislead. Oh well. It's still top remote place I plan to visit

Go soon.

in 20 more years it will be a tourist attraction

probably already is if you don't know a lot of Japanese people.

and some of them do, in fact, have the traditional Japanese pride and do things properly.

Yeah, likely 2026 is what we're discussing. Europe up first, and Hawaii 🏝️

There now. Produce in the market sure is beautiful.

You must mean Europe (broadly)?

because they use very few pesticides?

No way. I walk by those farms all the time and see how much they use. It’s gross.

Grow it yourself. POW.

Found a farm 90 mins from me. Will give it a try!

Interesting to learn this about Japan.

I’m not saying there are no organic farms but the products are not prevalent in stores.

Do they lean heavy on the pesticides and herbicides there too?

The Japanese get very old on average though📝

supermarktes are so depressing

Where you are at? Kamakura has a bunch of farmers market and organic growers / permaculture-focused peeps.
