I understand that the Bitkey is designed for non-technical people, but it would be nice for there to be an OPTION to obtain seed words in case CashApp ever experiences operational issues or otherwise deprecates the Bitkey project.

Would also be nice to allow it to connect to my own node over Tor, rather than Block’s servers. Otherwise, I cannot recommend it wholeheartedly to noobs.

You can always move your bitcoin without Block using the two keys you hold, even if Block servers are unreachable. And if you can’t get the Bitkey app from the app stores anymore, you can move your bitcoin using Bitkey’s Emergency Access Kit (https://support.bitkey.world/hc/en-us/articles/24395170222868-What-is-an-Emergency-Access-Kit-and-how-does-it-work) using your hardware and cloud backup. Are there other scenarios you’re looking to use seed phrases for?

I read and understand the Emergency Access Kit instructions, but have not tested them. Maybe I should, just for my own practical experience. I’m simply much more familiar with seed phrases (through much practice) and was hoping to seen an OPTION to view them with Bitkey somehow.
