Instagram and YouTube? That‘s the audience lifecycle of a platform. When everyone and their mother has joined the established platform, the „cool kids“ move to the next platform. It’s about building a community of likeminded people before advertisers and the masses are joining.

I have seen a lot of feedback from TikToKer users that they do not want to join a social platform controlled by the government. Maybe it is possible that the traditional platforms have done nothing wrong, they are just old.
