Wire transfers are fucking retarded.

Wasted half an hour filling out a wire transfer form many times, kept getting a generic "INVALID BANK INFORMATION" error.

After a ton of trial and error I determined that the form was being rejected because they couldn't handle the fact that my bank has an apostrophe in its name.

Validating a Bitcoin address is orders of magnitude simpler...

Did they let you inscribe a wizard JPEG in their database due to a bug in their software? ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿช™๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Sounds like bad UI

If I would see an apostrophe in a Bitcoin address Iโ€˜ld know immediately that it is wrong ๐Ÿค“

Don't leave out the bank interrogation; sir why are you sending this money? What is this for? Do you know this person?...How about its none of your business

Agreed!

You would love it here in Japan.

Oh, your name is longer than 7 characters? Sorry we never imagined such a thing was possible. Tough luck.

Oh, you used half width characters instead of full width? You'll have to do it again instead of expecting us to simply convert it.

Oh, sorry your password can't be longer than 8 characters.

Legacy banking system and its dinosaur ways ๐Ÿ˜ญ true headache.

We need a unified, easy, intuitive system for onboarding people to and using BTC. It's still too hard. At least it is for me and my non techy peeps. Hoping we've developed a place where people can come to nostr and/or BTC for the first time with very little to no friction, unstoppable, decentralized, unable to capture. We shall see.
