Those against the OP_RETURN limit are effectively just virtue signaling. You can dislike the JPEGs on Bitcoin (I do too), but recognize the current OP_RETURN limit is a centralization threat to Bitcoin and does ~nothing to stop the JPEGs.

Can you explain how the current OP_RETURN limit is a centralization threat to Bitcoin? I understand that it does nothing to stop the JPEGs, but I don't get the centralization threat of what we have today.
