I received my Pixel and it's ...OEM locked! It's also carrier locked. I originally planned on installing #GrapheneOS but I'll just keep the device using Amethyst zaps and some Android only #Bitcoin and #Lightning wallet! The device is super GORGEOUS and the pictures are top notch so I'll give it that. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I would never buy an #Android phone that's OEM locked or carrier locked..๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ‘Ž

Return it!

Unfortunately I canโ€™t.

OEM Unlock is permanently disabled for Verizon devices, other carriers require certain โ€™plan/contract preconditions' be met before whitelisting the IMEI to enable it when connected via wifi.

Only SIM free devices or those from less restrictive carriers enable it OOTB.

However it seems like the US is worst for this with limited restrictions in Europe.

Yeah man mine is locked on AT&T. Itโ€™s cool Iโ€™ll sell it or give it away to someone in need next year. Iโ€™m only using it as a hot wallet for sats and to take amazing pictures honestly. Iโ€™ll delay my plans to install GrapheneOS to next year.

Change of plans. I returned it and Iโ€™ll wait a little until itโ€™s price drops and Iโ€™ll get it straight from Google instead and boom flash GOS on it and done. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
