Downloaded the book yesterday after hearing you mention the author on your podcast a while ago!
I have primary school age kids and have just started down the education rabbit hole.
I was an avid reader until I went to secondary school. Under the bedcovers with a torch kind of fanatical reader. I don't bear grudges but I make an exception with a school system that squeezed my love of books out of me.
So many studies show that kids' creativity diminishes in state systems. What can you make with a paper clip is the classic benchmark.
What they fail to realise that outside of the education system. They mean fuck all.
I got crap Alevels but yet I’m sat here earning more than several colleagues that went to universities.
With the internet uni is no longer the best option, universities indoctrinate and act as baby sitting facilities.
