9 out of 10 people I meet daily know about Bitcoin, but almost none have ever heard of Lightning. In fact, when I tell them they can make payments in a split second, almost without any fees, it takes them a moment to process it.
Some of the biggest complaints people have about Bitcoin have already been solved, and they don’t even realize it.

They shouldn't have to KNOW they are using Lightning, either. Stop confusing them! They already barely know what Bitcoin is. Lightning just sounds like a shocking to them.
Same goes for eCash on a Fedimint protocol. These are essentially nerd-layers that need to be abstracted away from the general public. Just tell them they're using Bitcoin and watch them get excited. Don't confuse them with "Lightning" and "ecash". Just make it work for them.
