There was a young woman in line at my coffee shop ordering breakfast. I realized she was wearing a hearing aid and was signing to her friend who was also partially or totally deaf. When the QR code popped up on the Square POS screen I scanned and paid it before she could tap her debit card. They both looked astonished. It was like zapping in real life, and it just felt like the right thing to do.
