if bitcoin was more private it would still need to scale better. now it is using lightning which is an additional layer, it is not the bitcoin network. lightning is less secure and less centralized. no one sends larger amounts over lightning. watch this video:

You can type the amount in even if you don't have. It shows you fee in sats.
