This was written years ago by some of the guys I was deployed with a couple times. Most of them are dead now. They died for really nothing except region destabilization look backing at it, which is very disheartening. It's an interesting read and applicable to pretty much every US conflict since WWII. Had to dig it up on the way back machine to get to it. They were really good guys, and I miss them. Whether you support our involvement there or not, whether you support the military or not, I honestly don't care. The sentiment of this article and failed policy objectives that caused some great men to die are what I care about, and their families.
