Russia's reliance on a war economy is not as beneficial as it appears. While it generates job growth in the military sector/production and boosts output figures, this approach is unsustainable. The war has resulted in over 600,000 casualties, removing significant labor from the economy. High military expenditures, including soldier payments and payouts for families, strain an already struggling economy. Additionally, many intellectuals have fled, and if the war ceases, Russia's economic "growth" may collapse, leading to rampant inflation and potential economic failure.
