So you're not signing up for your $10,000 stimulus cheque? A lot will have too, as the rent will go up the following month.

And that's just the carrot side of coercion. On the stick side there is control of movement without a CBDC account. One example: traveling OS could be limited by requiring a passport that can only renewed with CBDCs in your name, or a departure tax that needs to be paid.
