I think Foundation is a lesser disappointment, but after reading it’s still bound to be to some extent

Foundation seems like it would be impossible, on par with Tolkien stuff.

I think LoTR was done very well. Don’t expect LoTR level though 😂

Yes Jackson's trilogy was amazing. I've read those books multiple times, and the movies are almost perfect. I don't expect nearly as much from Hollywood these days.
