Do you know if Alby Hub that runs on a PC is a full, self custodial node? I can't figure out is it a node or is it a wallet and if there is really any difference between these two concepts.

It's a lightning node, and obviously also lightning and onchain wallet. It doesn't run full Bitcoin onchain node, though
