It goes both ways. But mum is the one to get stuck once she realizes she expected maternity+relationship to be different. Dad can leave, they're definitely more prone to it than mums.

Girls my age just reached that phase of lowering standards for a partner just to have children and it's scary. We had amazing relationship from day one and even we are fed up with each other's shit bc kids are exhausting. People who didn't get a good start are off to trauma for everyone involved. Especially the kid obviously.πŸ˜‘

We should celebrate parents for dealing with babies no matter their gender, but mums should feel free to love their kid over anything, nursing for how long they want and have more space before going back to work. Germany is crazy, people in Munich don't have kids because it's expensive, have them late because it's expensive or go back to work in 6 months because they need money. In Czechia maternity leave is three years. And it's good.

WiLLiNgLy? Like Hausfrau??

😩

😩😩

It's the hardest job of them all😩😩😩

No, its socialism.

You still pay 1/4 of every diaper to the state.

πŸ˜„of course, of course. No matter the system, we're missing parenting values in our culture. It's not ok to be without wider family, it's bad if parents want to rush back to earning from their kids who are suddenly in the way. Women don't have to stay at home in cz, but they have the supported option. Munichers go very often back asap, kids stay whenever since few months old.

And Bavaria is big on parenting as I understood.πŸ€” They pay you extra from them. Maybe it's different with parents behind the big city.

*further away from the big city. Damn czech thinking🀣
