Adam Back is the man.
Could any of us be as humble as he is, & genuine, knowing that you were the guy Satoshi went to for advice & feedback?
Maybe. We are blessed to be so early that the guy who literally helped change the world is a humble Bitcoiner still building & supporting its growth.
He didn’t even read the white paper! Wrote satoshi off for like 3+ years let’s be real, Hal is the fucking man.
Hal is obviously the man. You think my note was a way to put Adam above Hal or vice versa? Come on man. Adam is alive & well & still humbly driving BTC forward. That’s kind of a fact.
Btw, he did read the white paper. He actually helped validate parts of it because he was mentioned IN THE WHITEPAPER. Fucksake.
In the emails that were exchanged between the two, Adam Back admits he didn’t read the paper Satoshi sent through. That’s what i was referring to. When satoshi responds back, he literally quotes Hal finney’s description of bitcoin’s innovation, because Hal actually did read the white paper and contributed more than just a few passing references to existing cryptography papers.
By “more” I mean in discussions on the mailing list and by running bitcoin early on etc.
Adam’s hash cash was certainly a major contribution(as you mentioned it’s cited and was the point of satoshi’s initial email) but it seems from these emails Adam kinda glossed over satoshi for a number of years early on.
