I think the federation will hold it until you manually swap it
And what happens when I zap someone? It passes by someone else if the app is closed ?

I dunno. I haven’t tried it. Don’t you have to manually approve zaps in the app?
There’s a checkbox for auto-approve zaps, inside the daily amount menu
