different stores have different lost leader pricing strategies to get people in the door.

the markup is nowhere near the same on every item

looks like one store is losing money on cream cheese to get people in the door and one has the strategy of doing that elsewhere to make money on cream cheese

I donā€™t think thatā€™s true. This store has lower prices for most things across the board. Cream cheese is not a loss leader, theyā€™re probably beating the store down the street on every item.
