free if paying someone in the same mint as you.

if paying a different mint, it goes over lightning so some fees there.

Are there any implementation ready of tokens over ecash?. For instance. What would happen if tether puts a Mint out there allowing people to move ecash usdt around?

I don't know and don't particularly care about tokens. I focus on Bitcoin ;)

but if they can do it, so be it.

I’m too but I’m thinking that given that taproot assets only allow centralized tokens to be used then maybe ecash would be a better platform for it
