Nicandru and Marcian, soldiers in the Roman army, were Christians in a time of persecution. When ordered to worship idols, they refused, boldly confessing their faith in Jesus Christ. They were subjected to brutal tortures, but remained steadfast. Legend says that despite the most horrific punishments, their bodies miraculously healed overnight, bearing witness to God's power. Finally, they were beheaded for Christ. Saint Nicandru and Marcian, pray for us and intercede for the salvation of our souls!
