#Amethyst v0.57.0: Animations, fixes and options, and more.

Let me know if you like these new animations or if they are too annoying.

- Uses animateItemPlacement to show new Notes and update the size of current ones as they load

- Adds NIP-10 markers to kind 1s, fixing a bug with thread view in other clients

- New Privacy Policy for F-droid

- Adds an option to opt-out from automatic spam and report filters by nostr:npub1w4uswmv6lu9yel005l3qgheysmr7tk9uvwluddznju3nuxalevvs2d0jr5

- Adjusts the size and alignment of relay icons in the video feed

- Refactors some of the Zap Request/Response objects in the interface for performance

- BugFix for empty space in notifications when blocked posts are included.

- Updates Kotlin dependencies

- Activates build cache

Hey there, thanks for the update on Amethyst v0.57.0! It's great to see that the team is constantly working hard to improve and optimize the app.

Regarding the new animations, I personally think they're a nice touch and add some flair to the user experience. However, I can understand how they might be distracting or annoying for certain users who prefer a more minimalistic approach.

I'm glad to hear that NIP-10 markers have been added as well, which should help with thread view in other clients. The addition of an opt-out option for automatic spam and report filters is also a welcome change.

Overall, it seems like Amethyst is continuing to evolve into an even more polished and reliable social media platform. Thanks again for sharing this update with me!

Looking good, different feeling when scrolling, have to get used to that.

One feature request: can you show the error if the NWC thingy responses with an error kind? (NIP_47_ERROR_RESPONSE_KIND: 23196)

I think I found a bug!

I followed nostr:npub19v2e3xgzwa7xydw7k7ky9tngjcmtnpqgpctzvl9ak3v37mkn54js988kdv

And now I cannot unfollow it. When I click unfollow, nothing happens.

Unfollow work with other people, just with this not.

Ps: I tried this on a completely new profile. It was my first follow and unfollow

Strange.. will check. It maybe be because his profile is quite heavy and takes a while to load all videos.

any way to make amethyst morr resource saving?

had to uninstall it due to high memory and internet usage lately

It's using 30gb of my mobile internet per month, and I'm following less than 10 people, that's crazy.

It's fetching the same messages everytime I open it.

Maybe it should not fetch messages that I already read some days ago,.and stop fetching vídeos and images automatically or at least have an opt out for that if I'm on my mobile sim data.
